The cables were severed last month, and there's zero evidence it was done intentionally — trawlers accidentally sever cables all the time.

Also they're cables to outlying islands, not to the main island.

This is an unfortunately worded headline, not a red flag.

"Men might murder me in particular because I am a woman / I am feminine" is the result of society enabling institutional misogyny and misogynist Ideologically Motivated Violent Extremism.

"Women might murder me in particular because I am a man / I am butch" is a non-thing. It's not an actual phenomenon, neither in English-speaking cultures nor anywhere else. Male babies aren't killed at birth because of government policies for being male. They aren't sold into s*x trafficking.

Denial of the exietence of misogynist Ideologically Motivated Violent Extremism is itself misogynist hatespeech. It's a type studied as neosexism.
