Does the strict, "necessary qualities" definition of a drone require a class of automaton equivalent to a Turing machine, a pushdown automaton, a finite state machine, or combinatorial logic?
For classification purposes, a homing pigeon is likely a finite state machine

❣️ Windows Copilot is being backdoored into all your PC's without notice or warning so now would be a very good time for you to jump to literally any other OS
i don't even care which just pick one and go
yes you can do office work outside of Windows
yes you can play games there too
Joel Berger (@teknomantik.old-home.net):
Alternatively, you can use the documented processes for disabling the "feature" and stop spreading misinformation that's going to send unprepared folks into a heck of endless tinkering and getting condescendingly 'splainy every time someone makes it clear that you haven't considered their use case.
(@warlockofwires.bsky.social):
Yup
I absolutely despise with a vile passion the current state of Microsoft's ecosystem and how it treats users...
There are certain things that Windows does you cannot replicate and that's just fact..
Not everyone has the privilege to waste their time..
multi-mara❣️🌌🌹🔮 (@marallmighty.bsky.social):
❣️ this isn't a privilege thing
I never said everything was possible outside of windows. I said games and office apps and have been offering options for other use cases when people bring them up.
It's up to users what they wanna do ultimately
(@warlockofwires.bsky.social):
My problem is that you said
"I don't care just pick one" and that's the last thing we want new users in Linux to do..or any os for that matter..
We don't want someone to have a bad experience because then they'll never come back to it again...
IE waste there time.
multi-mara❣️🌌🌹🔮 (@marallmighty.bsky.social):
❣️ gotta start somewhere
the assumption under i don't care just pick one is that someone would look into and choose another os
not just blind hop
Joel Berger (@teknomantik.old-home.net):
You not only overestimate the time, energy, and ability that the average user has for that decision, you confidently tell them they'll be fine switching (misinformation). And then when they tell you their specific case, you come back with "have you tried this?" which they surely have.
Joel Berger (@teknomantik.old-home.net):
This isn't said in a vacuum. I used Linux as my main desktop OS for over a decade, and struggled with constant tinkering to achieve basic hardware functionality. That hasn't changed. And the community has neither the resources nor the interest to properly support those folks.
Joel Berger (@teknomantik.old-home.net):
By contrast, disabling Copilot is a well-documented (if somewhat obscure) task and has the desired effect immediately. You can yell all you like about pushing it without consent, I'll even agree with you, but "just use Linux" isn't a functional solution for most.
multi-mara❣️🌌🌹🔮 (@marallmighty.bsky.social):
❣️ i never said just use Linux and i certainly haven't been the one yelling here
im done with you Joel you are putting words in my mouth and acting aggressive when there was no need to. truly. i would have been happy to talk about the issues you see with this but not like this
Ms. Penny Oaken (@skywitches.net):
I've been encouraging people to quit all Microsoft products since Windows XP SP1, so this is not a case of "Linux isn't ready for prime time", this is a case of "Microsoft can't design for end users". I have dozens of anecdotes why MS only succeeds because of industry inertia
