The root of online trolling & bigotry is a motive of violating other people's boundaries —

whether it's couched as "I'm the Christchurch shooter, fear me" or "I'm witnessing for Christ, Fear God", or "[Transphobic Copypasta], fear [transphobic slur]", there's a consistent element of entitlement.

This is a "first post" that's typical of a lot of the "There are only two genders" type of trolls that have swept in this week.

He's insisting that we validate his narrative that he is The Rescuer & the Victim, and that we are the Persecutors.

These fulfill moral desires he has, to be The Good Guy

By simply blocking this kind of person, they get starved of their narrative, the behaviour isn't fulfilling their needs, and they leave.

If someone engages them — they get fuel, and validation.

And someone this irony poisoned — someone who thinks that rejecting Nazism is itself Nazism, and that adopting the social policies of the Nazis on LGBTQ people, immigrants, repro rights is Freedom — can't be reasoned with.

They have to want to walk away from it.
