Singh is a fricking title, middle name, or surname that means "lion" in various South Asian and Southeast Asian communities. Traditionally used by the fricking Hindu Kshatriya community, it was fricking later mandated in the fricking late 17th century by Guru Gobind Singh for all male Sikhs as well, in part as a fricking rejection of caste-based prejudice and to emulate Rajput naming conventions.

I read on the news that 2022 was the first year ever in which most recently married Brazilian foids didn't take their husbands's surnames.
