I have never seen that happen. I have seen temples in the middle of the roads like literally BANG in the middle and they build around them and the temple also expands their structure sometimes. Same with roadside mosques or churches. Unless the people are extremely willing and get local politicians to agree only then it might be relocated, but never destroyed
