darn

idk how i grew out of it or if it just mutated into something else but I remember that "must feel even" urge like it was yesterday

feels like the tension in the middle of unraveling a major plot twist of a film as though the film was paused right in the middle of it & ur tryna press play

u gotta go back to that original nail to get what it got from the other one, but then that one has some dirt so u gotta switch back and if there's still something left u gotta go back AGAIN and try to kinda get it on the edge and pass it off to something else o___________o

Same bro. When I was a kid and I brushed past something on my left side, I had to stop, turn around, and brush past it with my right side too so it "felt even". Thank God I grew out of that 'tism

I used to check that all the power switches of everything was turned off about 10 times before I went to bed and whenever I'd go out I'd check the door was locked about 5 times. At some point I realised how irrational it all was and got into the habit of telling myself 'it's locked, just go' and did that. Once you get out of the habit of it and maintain the knowledge that it's pointless and irrational behaviour, then it's hard to get back into that stuff.
