My first reaction was “well, the videos probably just taught him how to regurgitate rote-memorized information for the test without really having an understanding of the underlying concepts” and then I realized that's all school does anyway.
Exactly. As if teens could be taught postmodern literary analysis without them being raised in a philosophy monastery. The socially smart ones learn to copy, the socially r-slurred ones (literally me ) try to understand, try do the work and fail. But then I grew up before youtube so good for him. No I'm not bitter
