KFC in Brazil is a fricking joke, the fried chicken tendies from Burger King, Poopeye's, and Bobs are much, much better, I have no fricking clue how KFC has not gone bankrupt in Brazil yet, they always have way less clients in their waiting lines at shopping malls when compared to other restaurants, like just look at this shit, it's not even funny it's depressing:

Resolvi ir almoçar no KFC hoje... sempre tive vontade... que arrependimento em... 30 reais, tudo de plástico, só faltava a comida ser de plástico.

I decided to lunch at KFC today... I always wanted to... what a regret eh... 30 reais (6 USD), everything made of plastic, the only thing missing was the food being made of plastic.

It is? :marseynotes: and I thought that we !macacos were suffering enough, 30 reais is indeed quite expensive for this tiny portion of plastic crap, how much dollars is the average food at American KFC these days?, and what would you consider a fair price? summoning !goyslopenjoyers again for your input!

Also !chuds this whole conversation just unlocked a hidden memory in me, and it is something that I have to confess: The first time that I tried our shitty Brazilian KFC was around 2012, the sole reason as to why I wanted to try out KFC was because back then, I was really into The Boondocks, the 2010s internet memes from the show, and the "AY Y'ALL BLACK FOLX LUV DA KFC N WATERMELUN N SHIIIIET" :marseykween: proto-chud memes and stereotypes that I stumbled upon on YouTube and 4chan :marseykfc::heartbeat::chadblack: :dumstickdancer:, so I just wanted to try it to see if it was that good as the Amerimutts were saying and why the heck they started to associate KFC with black people :muttscooter::marseydarkxd:

Well it was a disappointment because the Brazilian KFC sucked, but given my Macaco complex, I just assumed that KFC Brazil in particular is shit, but the original American KFC is much superior and actually tastes like how they advertise, when I last travelled to the US years ago, I do not remember if I tasted the American KFC, if I did, then I have no memories of it (so therefore, it would have again been shit at worst, or forgettable at best), so if I travel to the US again, I will have to do my last critique as to how different the American KFC tastes like! :nikocadoavocadodance:, but overall, I still love crispy fried chicken first and foremost due to my autism! :marseyautismchonker:

I will stand by my defense of KFC in this thread. Here in America it tastes perfectly fine. :marseyshrug: Now the quality can vary from location but you can easily tell by looking at the chicken. When it's shitty and undercooked the batter is white, even soft. A skilled goyslopstronaut can tell the chicken is cooked when it has a darker color and is crispier :marseydetective:

As for pricing, KFC's been reasonable around me. I order a few different things each time and every meal I get is filling while being cheaper than what McDonald's would charge for a quarter pounder meal.

I updated by comment, when I travelled to Miami (a Brazilian colony :marseysalutebrasil:) I may or may not have tasted KFC in there, but if I did, it was also crap because I forgot about it, !goyslopenjoyers the quality and taste of fast food restaurants in the US must vary by location right?, since Miami is a large metropolis with a shitload of tourists and foreigners, so I doubt that they would care about keeping their food high quality if all of the Latinx NPCs will just flock to it anyway.

I really want to taste Chick Fil-A tho! not just because they are explicitly a chicken sandwich-themed restaurant (my favorite! :marseyslurpfast:), but also because I was following their anti-LGBT culture war spergout closely back in the early 2010s, and I could not believe that American !christians would literally create.... a Baptist Fast Food restaurant that donates to anti-gay Christian organizations? :spongebobretarded: :marseydarkxd::marseysaluteusa:

Did the redditors take over /b/ or what?

Yes. It is pretty obvious from here. The people from reddit throw out the 10/10 or ratings whatever all the time or say /thread etc. "WE'RE WITH THE COOL KIDS TOO HUHUHUH." It is unfortunate, as there is a major dilution in gore posts from what it used to be, as well as a ludicrously large sum more of moralcute twinks. Get over yourselves people, its fricking 4chan.

edit: Or the god darn mother fricking "haha trolled!" It's like angsty high schoolers who think anyone who does anything is "trolling.

They're the same kids that migrated from 9gag/Funnyjunk to reddit because they thought reddit "produces all the internets original content". Then when they got to reddit they realized that reddit doesn't produce any worthy original material and that there was another website that looked down on reddit. So they ran on over to /r/4chan to try and find out how to be apart of this "elite group of interneters". They thought saying "/thread" and giving ratings on posts would make them cool and further solidify their place in the "elite group of interneters".

It varies even within the same city. For example where I live the BKs in the north part of the city are fine, but downtown they fricking suck. Always check Google reviews to make sure the location is one of the good ones.

Also hello to a fellow BKchad! :chad: !goyslopenjoyers do any of you personally think that Burger King is better than McDonalds? at least as a chicken tendie and chicken sandwich expert, I prefer BK. https://c.tenor.com/DPrE5S5nxaYAAAAC/tenor.gif https://c.tenor.com/OtCg9d-26U0AAAAC/tenor.gif

At least for Burger King here in Brazil I might be able to confirm this, individual Burger King restaurants have a higher quality and better taste than BKs from shopping malls, but this is understandable, given that fast food restaurant workers in shopping malls and other more packed locations always have a much more fast-paced work schedule, which inevitably compromises the food quality.

Quality Control at BK is dog shit and they don't invest nearly as much into their equipment and real estate and it shows.

The Whopper is the best cheap fast food burg but it's let down by everything else at BK.

The reason I love BK is because they are one of the few places with an actually good mobile app. It just works, and doesn't run like molasses. It also helps that they have amazing deals, meanwhile Whataburger (local chain) has a 1% (not 10%) cash back rewards program, and Dunkin wants to give $1 off an items that's overpriced by $2.

BK isn't reliable. Good bk is good. Bad bk some of the worst goyslop. My local bk is super hit or miss so rarely go. McDonald's is almost always the same at every location. The only variable is did you get fresh fries or not.

BKs can be better but the staff is usually somehow comprised of even lower forms of life than McDonald's and the food sometimes ends up inedible so I avoid it. I think McDonald's is just so automated that it's actually impossible to frick up a burger

Nah, it's completely random. Basically impossible to predict because it depends on how good the local hiring scene is, how the franchise owners treat employees (where applicable), and how hardass the local health department is.

Chick-fil-A is pretty decent actually though they're more of a chicken sandwich place. I prefer tearing the meat off the bones with my teeth and then gnawing on the cartilage :marseyhannibal: so I like chicken meat on the bone more.

Quality definitely varies by location, which is funny because one of the points of fast food was to guarantee the same standards across restaurants.

It comes down to area but also management style for individual restaurants. Plus some are franchised so the manager policies will be up and down.

I for one am picky about KFC. Once I find a good one I won't go to others because their quality might be a gamble.

Gonna add on to you by mentioning Mountain Dew Sweet Lightning

You know how Taco Bell has Baja Blast (lime-flavored Dew) as an exclusive? Well, KFC is a sister brand of Taco Bell, and as such, they also have recently earned their own special Dew (which is "peach and honey flavored").

I recall having it once a few years ago and it was neat-o! I would maybe consider trying it again soon, but seeing how I don't have too many options for KFC (the nearest one for me closed a year or so ago, and the others are more longer of a drive away) + my own personal feelings about fried chicken (don't hate it, but I can't eat too much of it without feeling sick)...might be a while before I make the call.

Still, I recommend that our resident !sodadrinkers should make the trek to try it out! :marseykfc:

As for why fried chicken is associated with black people I think it's simply because it's from the south and most “black” food is southern food. Meanwhile KFC is simply the largest fried chicken chain.

I went to one last year and it was actually much worse than I expected. 20 years ago it was really greasy but at least it tasted pretty good. Now it's greasy, way too salty, and doesn't taste good. You don't even get big portions anymore. The price was outrageous.

Last time I was there (US) was like a year ago and it was dogshit.

My strat had always been to ask for extra-crispy because it's usually wet and greasy otherwise but lo and behold the chicken was still not crispy or crunchy in the slightest. The mashed potatoes didn't resemble potatoes in the slightest and the biscuits were stale.

Very poor experience, 2.5/10 if I'm being generous.
