"Real" Christian is such a nothing term. It just means "What I think Christians should be" for both left and rightoids. You can basically use the Bible as Tarot cards to point to and reaffirm your political beliefs anywhere on the spectrum.

This is why Catholicism and the branches of Orthodoxy rely on the Church and Tradition rather than the Bible alone (you'll note this is from a prot subreddit) while also providing us with the examples of the Saints for what qualities would make someone "real".
The Church is 2000 years old, far predating the French Revolution and shallow Liberal conceptions of left vs right (also worth noting we were a necessary precondition for the very existence of leftism/liberalism and you could make a cogent case they're Christian heresies). We will outlive this current social order, too, unless Christ returns before then.

Secondly, Jesus fricking loves sinners. Paul was a murderer. King David was an adulterer and a murderer. A common theme of the Bible is God perfectly using imperfect people.

Jesus (therefore, God) loves sinners who repent and come to him, loving sinners and preaching to sinners never, at any point in Christian history, meant approving the sin, this is like the redditors who argue that since Jesus hanged out with prostitutes, tax collectors, criminals, and Roman occupiers, therefore this means that he thought that s*x work is heckin cute and valid, and would have bought OnlyFans subscriptions and whatnot

But le new testament is essentially a more hardcore hedge around the law. Jesus came to fulfill the law, not to abolish it.
The old law originally said that you can't commit adultery, but the new law is that even if you think about it then you've already committed adultery. Jesus never said that the original punishments were rescinded.
They just made it so you didn't have to cut your peeper and you get to eat bats and you don't have to slaughter animals every time you piss off God.
