Weekly Mass Discussion Thread #63

This week I went with to my cousins to there church (I've been there before) and there was a retire priest doing the homily and he went all over the place. (Especially talks about Jewish traditions) But what stood out to me was the prayer he said that the Jews say before bed

To God Almighty, the Lord of Israel: May Michael be at my right hand, Gabriel at my left hand, before me Raphael and behind me Uriel, and above me the divine presence of God."

Which I found interesting since as Catholics we believe in 3 archangels (Michael,Gabriel and Raphael) which shows more ties with the Jewish traditions.

Daniel 12:1-3

"At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who shall be found written in the book.
