You know when you read a newspaper (those things you dad bought before the internet) and you read article about a subject you don't know about and just take it for granted that the writer knows more than you.
Then you turn the page and with a sudden whiplash and cold shockz like someone threw ice into your face, you read about a subject in your field of expertise or field of study, and are shocked at the supreme ineptitude and lack of acute understanding of the subject,
And I'm not talking about bias in a contentious matter or a novice intro into a complicated field, but a flatout horrific fault, and clear lack of acute understanding, and with all the arrogance of the blind leading the blind

What did he say about Africa? I understand your point, I follow a "geopolitics" channel on YouTube called "Caspian Report" and generally liked him. Then he posted a video on Argentina's economy and there was so much which was… misguided to say the least (Década Infame myth and such), it doesn't help he reads solely second hand English sources on Argentina while Argentine history books like "Los Estancieros" do a much better job explaining what the Landowners era was like and that their post 1916 power was overrated (it was waning) and they became more of a boogeyman por populoids. Anyway, the entire video was a hot take.
