The overwhelming majority of men are extremely basic. They dress and act in a way that essentially conforms to their social group, have the same preferences, follow the same teams, watch the same shows, and have almost interchangeable personalities with their brothers, coworkers, and friends. Which is fine, and also true for lots of women.

Out of the minority of men who have a standout presence and personality, a large plurality or maybe a majority vibe as creepy, scary, or socially dysfunctional. Uncle Ted, Lil Pump, Matt Gaetz…you get the idea.

Some men are certainly more beautiful to look at than others, but being pretty is not as big a deal for masculine attractiveness.

JFK had a confidence and self-assurance, a character that people just instinctively took seriously when he was in the room. He got invited to the most exclusive parties, and looked great in a suit, and shined a big smile but also had a dashing and dreamy disdain for the whole world of glamour and fashion and celebrity.

He made you want to be his arm candy, his confidante, his caretaker, his prized possession…it's impossible not to wonder what it feels like to be desired by a man like that, what it's like to be intimate with a man who keeps Marilyn Monroe around as a fricking side piece.

He'd probably get "Swiftboated" today, like Kerry did.
