Here's a spooky story for you. Some say that when the Roman empire fell, their religions didn't die out but just went underground and adapted to the times. We all know how Christianity "absorbed" pagan religions as it spread (several Christian holidays are based on holidays that were originally pagan in nature) but the secret that most people don't want you to know is that some people remembered the truth behind those old religions and practiced them in secret. In some cases, they had already started as a mystery cult, so it really wasn't that huge a switch for them to go back underground again. And often the cult members would infiltrate society, and perform tasks and rites of service dedicated to their deity - partially as a show of devotion, but partially to induct new members into the mystery cult. (Although perhaps "religion" would be a more accurate term.)

Anyway, the reason I mention this story is that some would say that our little website is just the Cult of Mars secretly popping its head up again after a brief period of dormancy. After all, we're aggressive and belligerent folks (Mars's favorite type of people). We like causing trouble and inciting different groups to fight with each other, just like Mars did. Our mascot is named after Mars, and even has roughly the same color scheme - Mars's colors were monochrome with a splash of bright red (the color of spilled blood) whereas Marsey's colors are monochrome with a splash of orange (close enough). And here's an interesting question that may blow your mind. If we already follow the same ideals as the Old God Mars (spoiler: we do) and we go forth and perform devotion rituals ops to further his goals, and we constantly come back to a shrine website that literally has his name and his colors splashed all over it to chat about all the great things we did in Marsey's name, could it not be said that we already are members of the Cult of Mars?
