Best miniseries I've ever seen. Like a lot of things, it wouldn't be made today (I get that is hypocritically cultural war-y of me to say as I just made fun of that exact thing in another thread).

Jefferson and Washington are treated in the old style of American history, ie demigods who are forces of good. Nowadays modern writers would take considerable amounts of time to tear them down, almost exclusively because of the slavery question not because of their personal poor decisions
