!historychads Little Boy blew up over Hiroshima at August 5th, 1945 at 7:15 pm ET (August 6th, 8:15 am local time).

I'm reposting as Aevann posted this vid a year ago because it's the best summarizing the operation.

Tomorrow Indy and Co. will likely cover the events as well.

Props for Little Boy and Fat Man

!historychads it's been 110 years since Austria-Hungary declared war to the Eternal Serb for murdering their archduke and heir to the throne, meanwhile krauts say they will uphold their alliance and Tsar Nicholas II says he will protect the serbcels as he's the Father of all slavs :#marseyrussianmutt:

Thoughts? Who was on the right during the July Crisis?

@Aevann do you think it's time to do a "The Great War" rewatch?

Bicentennial of the German Immigration to Brazil :marseyzwei: :!marseybrasileiro:

Dramatards, today marks the 200th anniversary of the founding of the SΓ£o Leopoldo colony in Rio Grande do Sul, it was the first German settlement in Brazil. There are those who argue it was "Nova Friburgo" in RJ but those were swiss, not krauts. It was named that way because of Empress Leopoldina of Habsburg, wife of Emperor Pedro I, she and her doctor Anton von Schaeffer sponsored the creation of German settlements in the scarcely populated Southern Provinces, the founding of SΓ£o Leopoldo marked the beginning of a migration wave which lasted for a century. Some of my ancestors, including my eldest matrilineal ancestor were SΓ£o Leopoldo settlers who arrived in the 1820s.

I learned a lot about the first colonies on this book.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1721919562842795.webp

The book details how Brazilian government agents lead by Schaeffer would trick rural krauts to sell their homes and move to Brazil which they claim was this beautiful wonderland with schools and hospitals and where they could get rich with ease :marseyclueless:

There are also letters from the settlers, before being shipped to Porto Alegre they made a stop in Rio de Janeiro to sign the paperwork for country entrance, some settlers detail their first encounters with BIPOCs, in letters to her mother in law a settler wrote: "there are people here with the skin as black as coal who walk almost naked in the street and whom the Brazilians sell at the market as if they were horses". :#marseycracka: :#marseyblack:

Pic related is from the Blumenau Oktoberfest in Santa Catarina btw.

Nowadays kraut descendants make around 1/5 of the populations of RS and SC and under 10% of ParanΓ‘, that's where most immigrant towns were located.

Dramatards, the man on the painting was Charles II of Spain (Carlos II), the last monarch of the House of Austria (the Spanish Habsburgs)

He suffered from metal r-sluration being considered a simpleton and possibly Klinefelter syndrome and epilepsy. That means was sterile and had a micropeepee.

Here's his family tree

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17218352109142396.webp

As you can see his father King Philip IV and his mother Queen Mariana of Austria were uncle and niece, this is called Avunculate Marriage. Philip IV parents, Philip III and Margaret of Austria were cousins and Philip III parents Philip II and Anne of Austria were again uncle and niece. Because the Catholic Church forbids incest and classifies it as up to third degree cousins, these types of marriages required a papal dispensation.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dispensation_(Catholic_canon_law)

Here's the family tree of the Houses of Aviz and Bragança who reigned over Portugal.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1721835211262538.webp

Again with Uncle-Niece marriages like Queen Maria I (known as Maria the Mad) and her uncle Peter III (previously Infante Pedro of Bragança).

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17218352115347285.webp

And here's a map of prevalence of cousin marriage nowadays. !antibharatiya

In case you r-slurs accuse me of being an r-slur, I took this definition from https://i.rdrama.net/images/17214894411173503.webp

That's right

The Oxford Dictionary of Earth Sciences. Oxford dictionaries have the authority, foids are from earth and we need to define foids in a scientific way unlike men pretending to be women

Modern Hollywood and Medieval costume dullness :marseycrusader:

!historychads !kino the Kenneth Branagh post today reminded me of something, every modern slop set in the Middle Ages has the same dull brown/black costumes and leather clothing/armor. I chose Chalamet's Henry V as an example.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17213239708856883.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/17213239715527017.webp

This is Henry V from the 1944 Laurence Olivier's adaptation. This armor is historically accurate, it has the colors of the Plantagenet sigil (the lion and the Fleur de lys) and is a plate armor which was the type Henry V used. Branagh's adaptation got the colors right but the armor wrong as he wears a mail cloth with leather making it look like a sweater.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17213239712445474.webp

Then there are shows like vikings.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17213239717269888.webp

Again with the dull brown/gray colors and leather, not to mention those silly haircuts.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1721323971895852.webp

The Northman got the viking king armor and attire right.

Finally, and I know it's fantasy, but the later seasons of Game of Thrones had awful costumes, while on early seasons there were colors, by season 7 everybody was wearing black and leather. Jon Snow doesn't even wears a plate armor. Sansa and Cersei were given Darth Vaderesque gowns

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17213239723612642.webp https://i.rdrama.net/images/17213239724994054.webp

Sansa looks like some dominatrix with those ring things.

Original final interview with Adolf Eichmann published in 1960.

Pretty interesting they were smuggling jews out of the Reich and into Israel. You !historychads may have known about it but I didnt so thought I would post. The whole interview is very capitvating too. He never denies what he did. He is even proud of his skills in transporting thousands of people.
