To be fair it is essentially impossible for some people without severely harming them. To lose weight with pcos you often have to eat as little as 800 calories and exercise (HIIT) daily, it's a nightmare. CICO works for some but for others your body will do whatever it can to stay as it is.

i have a self diagnosed white foid disease that LITERALLY makes it so i can't lose weight so i don't even try

I looked up pcos and apparently it's caused by obesity and losing weight can cure it.

yeah because clearly what the coworkers are saying is “the laws of physics don’t apply to me” and not "“i couldn’t keep up with it” or “it was unhealthy for me”

they’re so desperate to feel above everybody else they can’t just assume the most probable conclusion

everyone reached that conclusion, it's just impolite to call fats lazy pigs for some reason and so it's generally avoided

>pcos can lead to weight gain

>Causes of pcos: poor lifestyle, obesity, stress and hormonal imbalance.

I love this mindset because it’s always said by people who think they’re so much smarter than everyone else for knowing this extremely simple and common knowledge “fact”, when in reality they’re straight up too stupid/arrogant to understand that the human body is way more complicated than that. Theoretically, yes, energy conservation means calories in = calories out, but theory means frick all when you introduce the amount of variables that exist for a real human body in a complex environment. Our bodies heavily change the amount of calories they need to maintain weight day-by-day, let alone over a long period of time. What the frick do these people think causes plateaus?

I've heard this so many times and it's just as good each time

THIS also the law applies to a CLOSED system which the human body pretty much is not

Fricking r-slur popsci YouTube essay watcher BIPOC brainwormed redditoids.

Ironically, this r-slurred post is responding to someone saying the thermodynamics thing is common knowledge people bring up to seem smarter without understanding it.

Yeah, and like...people can't perfectly track calories. There is no realistic way to do so. You can't run your food through a bomb caliometer and still eat it. The available calorie estimates provided by calorie trackers are usually good enough for most people to see predictable results, but it's not a universal thing.

We can't accurately record calorie intake down to the 4th significant floating point, might as well not try to limit caloric intake at all. :marseyshrug:

exactly! like sorry man, im on mood stabilizers, nothing i do works, & even if it did im just not really ever in the mood to eat one depressing meal a day & spend my single day off a week working out all day just so i can fit into last year’s pants lol.

These (adult) people increase a pants size on an annual basis? :marseybeanquestion: wtf I've worn the same sizes since highschool
