I hope he had prosthetic legs installed specifically for this stunt, otherwise that man is made of glass (not even sure about that, it was a bizarre bend. Maybe something like breakable rubber).

Nope, those are his actual legs. I do seem to recall that the injury was potentially bad enough he'd have to get his legs amputated. Don't know what ultimately happened to him though.
