This is the screening weight chart. If you're over the weight on these you have to get "taped" - ie: we have a convoluted formula that estimates your bodyfat percentage based on gut and neck measurements. It doesn't mean you're ineligible.

If you lift weights and are not completely ripped you will be over the screening weight and will have to be taped. If you pass tape, you're fine. Generally about a fifth of the unit has to be taped, and two or three dudes fail tape. If you fail tape once you get past MEPS you go onto the Army Body Composition Program (ABCP) which is a fancy way of saying you become a huge pain in the butt because you have to be counseled in writing, sent to the Army Wellness Center to do a bunch of diagnostics so they can give you fitness advice, and you get weighed and taped every month until you either pass or the commander decides to separate you if you don't make some kind of progress.

Oh good I was wondering if I misunderstood that, I don't even get 170 pounds and I'm not even that fat, just farm solid.
