I worked in a pharmacy in Germany serving Americans (aka fats) from 2008-2010. Fat, American veterans were my most common patients and as such we had a lot of diabetics. Being a pharmacy owned by the government we sometimes did drug trials. A comically large Type 2 diabetic I'd been serving for years brought me a medication for semaglutide (our hero, ozemspic). We knew it was coming as we had received the shiny drug trial medication earlier that week.

We hand him the 4 auto injectors for his once weekly doses, the pharmacist goes over some side effects and what to look out for and we send him on his way. To return next month for his next 4 injectors.

Drug trials were fairly rare and I still thought medicine was cool back then so I did a bit of research and the drug sounded cool. It was made by studying Gila monsters. Something about their saliva being a poison to help them hunt or some shit. Idk it's been years.

But the main take away is that in 999% of cases type 2 diabetics ate themselves to that point.

I received 400 in food stamps and ran through it all in one week.

Within the first week of the month. And somehow it feels like I didn't even buy anything. There's nothing in my fridge to eat. I'm literally trying to figure out what did I even buy. During my absence a lot of !thin applications piled up and of the 30+ that applied, only two had the badge. Tragic.

This has spurned me to do some mathematical labor and I have some startling results.

!thin has 53 members, and our site has 20,278 members. To be fair I am going to deduct an entire 10k from that number to account for Mello and that weird kid that fricks his sister. This means that out of 10,278 people on this site only 53 of us are publicly acceptable.

This means that 99.484335474% of this site is visibly hideous.

I abhor this state affairs (see below for a fun English lesson).

Because we sell merchandise that bears the holy Marsey, as well as the name of our site, it's absolutely revolting to think that a bunch of gargantuan behemoths are pounding around the world making us all look like a failed Jenny Craig commercial. This is absolutely unacceptable.

We need to figure out how to solve this crisis.

It is MUCH more complicated than that. In order to lose weight you have to starve yourself. Being active and fit does not make you magically drop weight, it is calories in calories out and the amount you have cut to lose weight depends on SO many things.

Also correlation does not equal causation. It’s not as black and white as people like to portray online.

It happened.

I got stuck in a chair yesterday. And to make matters worse, I was all alone (isolating on Christmas to avoid covid.) I was stuck for a good 30 minutes and honestly debated calling the fire department. Eventually I was able to get myself out but needless to say I will be getting rid of my chair that has arms on it.

Anyway, I'm not exactly sure why I'm posting this, I guess just that I was really scared while I was stuck in there and wanted to release that feeling.
