Any soup-pilled monkchads here?

https://www.amazon.com/Twelve-Months-Monastery-Victor-DAvila-Latourrette/dp/0767901800/

Ordered this book because I fricking love soups and fall/winter is the best soup season.

What are your favorite soups? Last year I made a pretty bomb Japanese curry (more of a stew than a soup but it still counts imo).

My dad makes this amazing bean soup using a tomato base and a hambone to start, to do it right it takes a minimum of 36 hours slowly adding beans, carrots, celery and potatoes. Absolutely perfect on a cold day served with crusty bread and milk.

Honestly, if you own a blender, you should just try out a basic b-word pumpkin soup :marseylickinglips:

They are really good and imo underrated with very little actual cooking required  very customizable with different toppings

Roasted cauliflower + bell pepper soup :#marseychef:

I usually add some smoked pepper and ras el hanout then just pop the vegetables + garlic into the oven with some olive oil. Blend it, add some water or vegetable stock and bit of tomato paste. Can add cream if you're a fatty

Second favorite is Goulash soup :arousedpizzashill: but I don't feel like typing out the recipe.

Can you milk a celery?

Also I don't really like celery, I usually leave it out of dishes unless it's absolutely integral like a Cajun dish or something.

It's creamed. It's not like vegetable celery. You can blast it with an immersion blender
