Lentil soup slaps. I do an Italian lentil soup with onions, celery, carrots, tomatoes, spinach, and Italian sausage.

Yum. You can make a great lentil stew with just some lentils plus potatoes plus jalapenos plus whatever random veggies you want to throw in. So tasty :)

Lentil soup is kino. If you want less spices and more meat though, you should try Solyanka:

>beef broth/stock

>beef

>sausage

>bacon

>potatoes

>carrots

>onions

>dill weed

>pickles + splash of brine

Pretty simple and not super complex but its a pot that lasts for days and is super filling thanks to all the meat.

Factcheck: This claim is currently being debunked.

Those are carrots, lentils are much smaller

Lentils go on bottom to soak in water and spices. Then beef sausage. Then potatoes. Then carrots.
