If they figured out a way to grind them up into dust and add chocolate flavoring like an actual protein powder, I would drink ze bugz if they were cheaper than whey protein.
I've had a (dried and seasoned) cricket and scorpion once. They taste like nothing which I guess is good if you want to grind them into protein supplement or something but terrible for use as actual food.

They do that with grasshoppers and stuff. You can buy grasshopper protein powder.

Is it $10 for 80 calories?

I dunno. I see 1 pound bags for $30-40. Not sure if that's expensive or not.

That's ridiculously expensive. I get a 5.5 pound bag of cow pow for $75
If bugs are everywhere and less expensive to grow and harvest they sure aren't reflecting in the price

I'm sure it's over priced now because it's probably marketed as a specialty product for vegetarians or something.

I don't think vegetarians consider bugs to be animals.
