They need to defend their brand. Not every r-slur will realize all those Nintendo accounts are fake and some parents mb decide not to buy their kids a game because they seen jihad Mario. Basically pulling out atm was smarter decision for Nintendo

They have a sub verification for people who are Chinese state officials, they could add that as manual verification that doesnβt give status like the blue check
