https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/joe-biden/bidens-want-back-in-rcna196956

WASHINGTON — Former President Joe Biden has told some Democratic leaders he'll raise funds, campaign and do anything else necessary for Democrats to recover lost ground as the Trump administration rolls back programs the party helped design, according to people close to him.

Biden privately met last month with the new Democratic National Committee chairman, Ken Martin, and offered to help as the party struggles to regain its viability amid polling that shows its popularity has been sinking, the people said.

So far, Biden's overture seems to have fallen flat. Democrats find themselves adrift, casting about for a compelling messenger.

Whoever that is, it's not Biden, many party activists and donors contend. He's tethered to the 2024 defeat and, at 82, is a symbol more of the party's past than its future, they argue.

"Who's going to want Joe Biden back in the game?" said a major Biden supporter, speaking on condition of anonymity to talk candidly about him.

A spokesperson for the DNC didn't provide a comment or make Martin available for an interview.

A new NBC News poll shows that the Democratic Party's popularity has dropped to a record low. Only 27% of registered voters said they held positive views of the party — the lowest figure in the network's polling dating to 1990.

Asked about the prospect of Biden re-entering the political sphere, President Donald Trump told reporters in the Oval Office Friday, "I hope so."

Former first lady Jill Biden is also prepared to campaign and raise money for fellow Democrats as she and her husband settle into life back home in Delaware, a person close to her said.

"She recognizes that serving in the capacities that she served is an honor and it comes with responsibilities to the party. And she's prepared to help in any way she can," the person said.

Both Bidens are carving out post-presidential lives aside from the partisan political work they've volunteered to take on.

Each plans to write a book. As Biden develops a theme for his memoir, he has been consulting former senior administration officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, national security adviser Jake Sullivan and senior White House advisers Mike Donilon and Steve Ricchetti.

He has been splitting his time between Delaware and Washington for meetings in office space supplied by the federal government. As was his habit as a U.S. senator, he often commutes via Amtrak.

The onetime first couple were shocked when Trump abruptly announced this week that he was ending Secret Service protection for their two adult children, Hunter and Ashley, the person close to Jill Biden said. They'd gotten no warning, another person familiar with the matter said. Their first question was whether their two children would be safe.

The Bidens have been out of office for only two months. After Trump's first term ended in 2021, then-President Biden extended protection for Trump's adult children for six months.

Though Biden is willing to help, Democrats aren't unanimous in wanting them to. Some party activists believe Biden is an admired figure who remains a draw inside a grateful party.

Jane Kleeb, a vice chair of the DNC, said in an interview: "If you were to call any state party chair and ask them if they wanted Joe Biden to be a keynote speaker for their annual dinner, the answer would be yes. He is beloved by the party and beloved by the voters."

Others argue that reminding voters of a 2024 campaign that went sour isn't the best strategy for a party that is grasping for a message and searching for new, younger leaders. A CNN poll this month asked Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents which leader best reflects the party's core values. Only 1% chose Biden.

What's more, the wounds of 2024 are still fresh, with many Democrats aggrieved over Biden's decision to run again and remain in the race until just a few months before the election, leaving Vice President Kamala Harris little time to organize a campaign of her own.

Alan Kessler, a longtime Democratic fundraiser from Philadelphia, said in an interview: "There are plenty of people in the Democratic Party who were obviously very frustrated with how things played out last year, but there are plenty of people who still love Joe Biden."

At the "appropriate time," Biden can be an asset to the party by campaigning in selected areas, such as his hometown, Scranton, Pennsylvania, but now isn't it, Kessler added.

"It's time to move on with new leadership," he said.

Biden has no pangs of regret, a person familiar with his private conversations said. He remains defiant and believes Trump's victory shows the party did itself no favors by pushing him to drop out of the race, the source said.

One person in particular seems eager to see Biden return to the political stage: Trump. The new president has used his massive following to ensure that Americans don't soon forget the old one.

Trump has publicly mentioned Biden, Biden family members or the Biden administration an average of seven times a day since the start of his second term, according to an NBC News review of his remarks, interviews and social media posts.

Overall, Trump has invoked his predecessor in some form more than 400 times since the inauguration on Jan. 20. In most instances — more than 325 — Trump has mentioned Biden alone. In about 75 cases, Trump has mentioned Biden family members or the Biden administration.

The context in which Trump brings up his predecessor often involves immigration, inflation, elections or foreign wars, as well as issues involving the Justice Department.

Speaking at the Justice Department last week, Trump questioned Biden's use of an autopen to sign documents, calling it "disrespectful to the office" and "maybe not even valid."

The Justice Department blessed the use of an autopen in a memo in 2005, and the Constitution carries no requirement that the president sign documents by his own hand.

Vice President JD Vance also uses Biden as a foil. At a tech summit this week, Vance took time in his speech to take a swipe at Biden's mental acuity — an issue that dogged the former president throughout the campaign.

"In defense of Joe Biden, he was asleep most of the time. I don't think he totally realized what he was doing," Vance said.

Asked why Trump speaks about Biden so frequently, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said: "We still very much are fixing so many of the problems created or started by the Biden administration. It's important to remind the American people and media why these problems exist."

A defense that Trump supporters use in rationalizing his attacks on perceived political foes is that he's a "counterpuncher." But here, Biden has already left the ring. He hasn't thrown any public punches since Trump escorted him to the helicopter on Inauguration Day for his departure from the U.S. Capitol grounds.

Indeed, Biden's first speaking event since he left office came last week with no fanfare whatsoever. He appeared in New York City for a conference of the National High School Model United Nations in Manhattan. Six months after having spoken before the actual U.N. for his last time as president, Biden gave a speech to its high school facsimile in a hotel ballroom. He also took questions and posed for pictures with students.

"He asked me about my future, and I told him how much he inspired me to go into the field of politics," said Suzy Radzinski, 18, a senior at Brighton High School in Utah, who met Biden on the photo line.

A Facebook video from the event showed a group of excited students waving to Biden. "I met you on your book tour!" one shouted to him as he stood onstage in a suit and tie. "All right!" said Biden, prompting appreciative laugher.

Inside Biden's close-knit circle, advisers have concluded that it's not wise for him to respond publicly to every insult or accusation Trump throws his way. Doing so would personalize the issue, turning it into a contest between Trump and Biden, as opposed to keeping the focus on whether Trump is being truthful or not.

Biden's approach for now is to let surrogates respond to Trump's broadsides. Donna Brazile, a longtime Democratic strategist, said that's the right posture.

"It makes no sense for Joe Biden to respond to Donald Trump," she said in an interview. "The American people are not looking backward; they're looking forward."

Rather than take the attacks personally, Jill Biden has found a new role for herself: soothing those who are unnerved by the tumult in Washington, the person close to her said.

"She is finding herself comforting people. More and more, as she's out and about, people come up to her who are looking for reassurance," the person said.

Day 139: This is How We Can Still Win Sistaaas

Colorado Pulled Trump from the ballot for 14th Amendment article Insurrection Clause, The Supreme Court said nope, one state can not choose for all states. They DID NOT overturn the Colorado courts finding of insurrection.

Also Trump already has 3 Articles of impeachment for high crimes and misdemeanors including insurrection.

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Are we a floor vote away from removing Trump from office?

!khive !nonchuds Stupid Bidet

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris both understood the importance of being seen as the bigger change agent.

For Trump, that meant continuing to promise an antidote to the Biden-Harris years.

For Harris, there was more flexibility to define her brand of change.

She could risk looking hypocritical by making clean breaks with Biden on policies she had supported as vice president, rejecting parts of their record to forge her own agenda. She could identify new issues to run on that avoided the pitfalls of turning her back on the Biden era. Or she could rely on voters to see her gender, her genes, and her "lived experience" --- a middle-class upbringing, schools outside the Ivy League, and a career as a prosecutor --- as symbols of change.

Biden and his loyalists took the first option off the table.

He would say publicly that Harris should do what she must to win. But privately, including in conversations with her, he repeated an admonition: let there be no daylight between us. "No daylight" was the phrase he had used as a vice presidential candidate in 2008 to bind Republican nominee John McCain to an unpopular president, George W. Bush.

Almost everywhere she went, Harris walked among former Biden aides who sought to defend his presidency. Her campaign was run by a former White House deputy chief of staff --- whom she had just empowered to box out her own confidants --- and a phalanx of department heads who had served Biden until the previous month.

The day before Harris's first interview, a joint appearance with [Vice Presidential nominee] Tim Walz, she dived into the recurring question of whether and when she would let daylight shine between herself and Biden. Veteran Democratic communications strategist Stephanie Cutter launched into a proposed preamble --- a list of all the items that made Harris proud of her work with Biden.

"Wait, wait, wait!" said Sean Clegg, a longtime Harris adviser who was regarded with suspicion by the Biden holdovers running the campaign. "Let's not do this. Let's not go down memory lane."

That was the last time he was invited to media prep. Cutter, another Harris confidant later joked, cut him out.

When Harris sat down with Walz and CNN's Dana Bash the last week of August, the segment produced a little bit of news: Harris said she would name a Republican to serve in her Cabinet. She also said that she no longer supported a ban on fracking. Her 2019 call to end the practice threatened to hurt her in Pennsylvania, even though she had adopted Biden's no-ban policy as his vice presidential candidate in 2020. But the first portion of the one-on-two interview --- the part more viewers were likely to watch --- featured Harris reciting a laundry list of Biden's policies.

Sitting next to Walz in a chair that seemed to place her below him and heaping praise on Biden's record, Harris did not look like a candidate seeking the highest office in the land. The whole scene reinforced the criticism that the vice president was either incapable, or afraid, of answering tough questions on her own.

For the rest of the campaign, her team required that she be provided a chair that met certain specifications: "Leg height no less than 15 inches; floor to top of seat height no less than 18.9 inches; arms on chairs may not be very high, arms must fall at a natural height; chairs must be firm."

No matter how firm her chair, the question facing Harris was whether she could build a sturdy platform.

Her rallies and convention speech had not answered the question of why she was running for president --- or how her vision for the country would deliver for voters --- other than having been next in line. She was running out of major moments to explain a vision to a broad audience. Her September 10 debate with Trump would offer another opportunity --- perhaps a last chance before voters cast early ballots --- to establish that key part of her narrative.

But the day of the debate Biden called to give Harris an unusual kind of pep talk --- and another reminder about the loyalty he demanded. No longer able to defend his own record, he expected Harris to protect his legacy.

Whether she won or lost the election, he thought, she would only harm him by publicly distancing herself from him --- especially during a debate that would be watched by millions of Americans. To the extent that she wanted to forge her own path, Biden had no interest in giving her room to do so. He needed just three words to convey how much all of that mattered to him.

"No daylight, kid," Biden said.

WE CAN STILL WIN SISTAS :marseyhope:

tl;dr:

Germany acts first, setting off a global chain reaction.

Musk's network unravels rapidly once the first legal action lands.

Trump's disinformation pipeline collapses, weakening his control.

Netanyahu loses critical support, both in Israel and internationally.

By the time Musk realizes what's happening, it will be too late.

The first card falls, and the entire house collapses fast.

:marseyw#ords2:

Germany is about to take the first major step in dismantling Musk's election interference and authoritarian propaganda network, and the consequences will ripple globally in ways he never anticipated.

1- German Elections Just Ended

Germany now has a clear path to take legal action without interfering in its own election process.

The election concluded on Feb 23, and Germany operates under strict post-election legal oversight and this is the moment they were waiting for.

2- Germany Pre-Announced Intent to Prosecute Musk

This isn't speculation. German officials publicly stated before the election that Musk will face legal consequences.

The fact that they telegraphed this in advance means they are fully prepared to act immediately.

3- Germany Has Seen This Playbook Before. They Won't Tolerate It Again

Unlike the U.S., where legal actions are slow and politically entangled, Germany moves fast and decisively when democracy is threatened.

Their legal framework allows for swift prosecution of election interference, foreign influence operations, and anti-democratic threats.

Musk likely has no idea the level of legal and political force that's about to hit him.

4- This May Be Coordinated With Five Eyes & EU Allies

If Jack Smith's findings or U.S. intelligence were shared with Germany or other ICC-aligned nations, then Germany isn't acting alone.

EU intelligence, NATO, and Five Eyes nations may be aligned in a larger, coordinated effort to take down the entire network.

Once Germany moves, legal consequences could cascade across multiple jurisdictions, triggering broader international action.

5- Musk's Fall Directly Weakens Trump & Netanyahu

Musk is the key enabler of modern election disinformation and without him, Trump's propaganda machine collapses.

If Germany moves first, it cripples Trump's ability to control the narrative overnight.

Netanyahu also loses a powerful global ally in the disinformation and intelligence-manipulation space.

6- Germany's Legal Precedent Opens the Door for U.S. & EU Action

Once Germany acts, other nations (France, UK, Canada) will likely follow suit.

The U.S. will face immense pressure to act or risk looking complicit.

If Musk falls first, Trump's own election interference case becomes significantly easier to prosecute.

7- Trump's International Protections Begin to Crumble

If Germany's case links Musk's election interference to foreign actors (Russia, Israel, Saudi Arabia), it could justify an ICC or NATO response.

Jack Smith and the ICC now have momentum to escalate sealed indictments related to Volume 2, bringing Musk and Trump into the international legal arena.

After The First Card Falls The Collapse Begins

Germany is about to act, setting off a legal and political chain reaction.

Musk's empire will start unraveling at a speed no one expects.

Trump & Netanyahu's strategic positions weaken rapidly once Musk's disinformation machine is disrupted.

Once the first domino falls, the entire house of cards collapses fast.

This will not end well for Musk, Trump, or Netanyahu.

This isn't just about Musk. it is about disrupting the entire authoritarian network that hijacked global democracy.

Germany is about to fire the first real shot. Once it happens, watch how fast everything starts moving.

Kamala Harris receives prestigious Chairman's prize at NAACP Image Awards :marseypennymisia:

In her first major public appearance since leaving office, Harris did not reference her election loss or President Donald Trump's actions since entering the Oval Office.

LOS ANGELES — Former Vice President Kamala Harris stepped on the NAACP Image Awards stage Saturday night with a sobering message, calling the civil rights organization a pillar of the Black community and urging people to stay resilient and hold onto their faith during the tenure of President Donald Trump.

"While we have no illusions about what we are up against in this chapter in our American story, this chapter will be written not simply by whoever occupies the oval office nor by the wealthiest among us," Harris said after receiving the NAACP's Chairman's Award. "The American story will be written by you. Written by us. By we the people."

The 56th annual Image Awards kicked off Saturday at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in the Los Angeles area.

Harris, defeated by Trump in last year's presidential election, was the first woman and the first person of color to serve as vice president. She had previously been a U.S. senator from California and the state's attorney general.

In her first major public appearance since leaving office, Harris did not reference her election loss or Trump's actions since entering the Oval Office, although Trump mocked her earlier in the day at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

Harris spoke about eternal vigilance, the price of liberty, staying alert, seeking the truth and America's future.

"Some see the flames on our horizons, the rising waters in our cities, the shadows gathering over our democracy and ask 'What do we do now?'" Harris said. "But we know exactly what to do, because we have done it before. And we will do it again. We use our power. We organize, mobilize. We educate. We advocate. Our power has never come from having an easy path."

Other winners of the Chairman's prize have included former President Barack Obama, the late Rep. John Lewis and the late actor Ruby Dee.

NAACP Hall of Fame

Harris was honored during the ceremony along with the Wayans family. The family was inducted into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame in recognition of pioneering contributions to film, TV, sketch and stand-up comedy that have shaped Hollywood for decades.

Keenen Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans Sr., Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Kim Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. each were recognized.

Marlon Wayans, whose guest appearance on Peapeepee's "Bel-Air" was up for an NAACP award, shared how Keenen Ivory Wayans sparked the family's rise.

"He raised us all like Jedis," he said. "We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for our big brother."

Marlon Wayans joked that when his brother told their mom he was leaving college for comedy, she said, "Boy, I've known you your whole life, and you ain't never said nothing funny. That's the funniest thing you've said."

The crowd erupted in laughter, a fitting tribute to a family that has kept audiences laughing for more than three decades.

The family has a long list of credits. Keenen Ivory Wayans created the sketch comedy series "In Living Color" in 1990 and directed the 2000 slasher spoof "Scary Movie," which was written by Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans, who also wrote and starred in "White Chicks" in 2004. Damon Wayan's had a starring role in the 1995 comedy "Major Payne," and currently co-stars with son Damon Wayans Jr. in the CBS sitcom "Poppa's House," which was nominated for an NAACP Award. The pair also were nominated for their acting on the show.

Damon Wayans Jr. has acted in two of the most critically acclaimed comedies in recent years: "Happy Endings" and "New Girl." Kim Wayans, a comedian, actor and director, also received praise for her work in the 2011 drama "Pariah."

Entertainer of the year

Keke Palmer expressed her surprise after her name was called as winner of the coveted entertainer of the year.

"Oh my gosh. Guys, I didn't think I was going to win," said Palmer, who paid homage to fellow nominee Cynthia Erivo's Oscar-nominated performance in "Wicked."

Palmer starred in the buddy comedy "One of Them Days," which debuted No. 1 at the box office last month. She also won an Emmy for her hosting efforts on NBC's "Password."

"It's such an amazing category to be in with all these people," Palmer said. "It's a beautiful night. It's Black History Month, y'all. It's so important we all come here together and celebrate one another with one another."

Other nominees included Kendrick Lamar, Kevin Hart and Shannon Sharpe.

Awards recognize L.A. residents impacted by wildfires

Image Awards host Deon Cole honored residents of the nearby Altadena neighborhood who were affected by January's devastating Los Angeles-area wildfires.

A video of the fire devastation played before actor Morris Chestnut took the stage.

"Homes were lost, stores destroyed, countless lives shattered and over two dozens souls gone forever," said Chestnut, a Los Angeles native who referenced impacted areas such as Altadena, the Pacific Palisades and Malibu.

"But what was not lost is the spirit of our community," said Chestnut, who noted 22 Altadena residents attended the show on Saturday. Many in the audience stood and applauded.

Cole shifted tone and brightened the mood with a comedic prayer for Kanye West's wife to find more clothes after her barely-there Grammys look and for Shannon Sharpe to finally size up his T-shirts.

The opening act was a lead-up to the evening's first award: Queen Latifah as best actress in a drama series for her role in "The Equalizer."

Chappelle honored

Dave Chappelle was honored with the President's Award for his "thought-provoking humor."

Accepting the award, Chappelle talked about the NAACP's push against negative portrayals of Black people in media and the importance of representation.

"Every opportunity we get, we just keep chipping away at this monster of a machine," he said.

Past recipients of the President's Award include Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, Usher, Rihanna and John Legend.

:redlight: THE VIBE HAS SHIFTED. I REPEAT. THE VIBE HAS SHIFTED :redlight: :marseykamakama:

There have been 3 events this week that completely shifted the people against the Regime.

1. White House ASMR video: people had a visceral reaction to this in their stomachs. They can feel in their gut that something is terribly wrong and no rationalization can make them unsee what they saw: torture porn. Having the atrocities so up close and in such a dehumanizing yet casual manner had to be a wake up call for a lot of people on the fence.

:#tayfloor:

The King tweet: this was a huge overstep. The core belief of the United States is the fact that they are against kings. Saying it from the official White House account (the Castle) makes it much worse. It is almost like someone saying "God is fake" in front of a church audience from the altar. It goes against the foundational belief of the system.

:#marseyking:

The second Nazi salute: In my opinion, this is similar to when the second plane on 9/11. Not in devastation but what it meant to those watching. When the first plane hit, it was deemed an accident. There was still a possibility that it was not on purpose. That was the Musk salute. Then, the second plane hit and made it undeniable that what was happening was fully deliberate. Bannon's Nazi salute is the second plane. There is no denying there are Nazis in the government.

:#marseydid911:

NOW is the time to act. There is popular will against the regime. Peaceful Protests need to continue and grow in order to reach the 3.5% number. Godspeed.

Day Four Hundred and Twenty, Activate Order "Sixty Nine": This is how Kamala can STILL Win!

We have the data, the patterns, and the proof. Now it's time to take legal action.

For months, we've been analyzing voter data, election results, and other critical evidence— and what we found points to widespread election interference. The numbers don't add up. The patterns don't make sense. The statistical anomalies defy natural voting trends. It's clear that something is deeply wrong.

Trump, Musk, and their network rigged the system in real time, then wiped out the people investigating them. Trumps $30 BILLION lawsuit for election interference got me thinking…a class action lawsuit may be the best way forward. If filed strategically, it could expose corruption, force discovery of internal communications, and put our findings in the public eye.

And let's not forget—Biden had 235 judges confirmed. If there was ever a time to try this, it's now. Even if nothing else happens, this would get MEDIA ATTENTION. They couldn't ignore it. It would force them to respond, and it would put all the evidence we've gathered front and center for the world to see.

Potential Claims Against Them:

Trump has been caught slipping multiple times, hinting at control over vote counting machines. The data we've gathered shows clear statistical anomalies—results that simply do not follow natural voting patterns. If we can get a forensic audit of these machines, we might just crack this wide open.

Musk, meanwhile, was actively paying people to register to vote in swing states through America PAC's $1M-per-day giveaway. That's election bribery—which the DOJ was investigating before Trump had the investigators fired. And that's not even touching the massive social media manipulation on Twitter/X, where election discourse was silenced in real time.

And let's talk about poll workers openly wearing Dominion system passwords on their shirts in Effingham County, GA. If they were working the polls, they were legally bound to election security protocols. So why were they walking around flashing access credentials? And what kind of access did they have? A lawsuit could force discovery of machine logs and personnel records to find out.

The legal pathways here are real. Election fraud statutes. RICO (racketeering). Civil rights violations. Consumer fraud. Public records lawsuits. Even if one angle doesn't work, another will. The key is finding the right lawyers who are willing to take this on—and forcing this into the courts before it's too late.

Lawyers, election experts—how do we make this happen? We need legal minds ready to take this on. If we don't fight this now, do we even have a democracy anymore?

Who's ready for some "lawfare"?

Bonus: I should have grabbed the OP this morning but here's a 1620 upmarsey thread on the assassination attempt in Butler, PA being fake :marseytrumpfistpump:

The tweet he shared out that is false is a clear attempt to weaponize misinofrmation. He made a huge mistake by doing this on a public platform, his ego has gotten so big he can't see past himself. Stop and think about what this means for a minute, this needs to get out people who have platforms on social media and talking about this, for example independent news channels etc. Talking about how the Elon Musk is publically using false information to put American lives at risk by higthening tensions. This man is in the oval office, you cant tweet shit like this, this has LEGAL ramifcations. Between now and the protest everybody needs to blast this story out, you have a reprsentive at THE TOP OF THE GOVERMENT sharing this without fact checking.

/r/50501 went private after this redditor was discovered and came back with two posts addressing it.

Hello 50501!

First of all, we want to say that we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you. This movement has grown exponentially fast. You are the resistance, and watching this community blossom has been incredible to watch.

We understand that many of you are feeling like you need to get onto the next thing, especially with recent actions taken by a certain orange man. We hear you. For now, there is not an official next day decided (we are working on this ASAP for y'all), and we want to avoid spreading confusion about when the next protest is.

For this reason, we will be removing any March the 4th posters for the time being. We appreciate your understanding in our efforts to help everyone have the correct information while we figure out what's going to be happening.

in the name of saving money, Trump proposes giving away ~$2 trillion dollars in cash

340,000,000 people

$5,000 each

$1.7 trillion

But this $1.7T represents 20% of the total savings

which means he is claiming to have saved $8.5 trillion, while the entire budget is $6.13 trillion

however when Musk describes it, he says that the savings is $2T, 20% of which would go to 80 million households at $5000 apiece, regardless of single or joint filing status.
