I just took a peak at the subreddit and it all seems pretty negative right now. The vibe I'm getting is the writers are artificially trying to extend the series so everything is dragging.

From what I have read of the sneeding it seems like there are 2 main issues. First like you said it is dragging on without much meaningful plot development. Second the writers seem to have gotten so upset by people enjoying the show wrong and lacking "media literacy" that they are now strait up injecting modern politics into the show itself with 0 nuance, which is getting to be too much for some of the soys.

That isn't new. Season 2 had Stormfront who was a right wing influencer grifter type who turned out to be a legitimate nazi. However if redditors are even complaining that it's too on the nose now then it must be pretty bad.

At the start of this season they were divided between people going, "this might be a bit much guys" and "HA HA HA Conservatives are so STUPID and lack MEDIA LITERACY and only just figured out we've been making fun of them this whole time!!!" But looking over the subreddit now it seems to be leaning more into the this isn't actually very good camp.

They're injecting politics with 0 subtlety or anything to draw meaning off. It's just straight up "I don't like your people black man", "church and state should be the same" (actual line) saying all Republicans are fascist, racist chuds. Just pure exposition and 0 wit.
