Nah, S1 was good.
S2 was Butcher going "MUH WIFEZ SON" for 8 episodes straight. Then we all got cucked during the final fight out of a full resolution when everybody just decided to go home, so the writers don't have to try to hard to set up S3.
Shit show. Read the comics instead. They're actually edgy (not the safe reddit-approved edgy) and they try to do different things instead of just doing the same "CURRENT THING" over and over again.

S2 is worthwhile just for the scene where Stormfront forces Homelander's face into her kitty. The bush was the Aya Cash's suggestion as well. Unfortunately, it appears everybody is phoning it in for S4 because the lactation scene was poorly done. They effectively did a cumshot with milk when anybody who has seen lactation can tell you it's much more akin to a small/pinhole sized stream.
