I don't know if it's actually all that valuable because the prices I see on google are anywhere from $15 to hundreds but I have a first edition copy of Douglas MacArthur's autobiography "Reminiscinces". Someone gave it to someone else as a gift in October 1964 and there's a charming little personalized note written in the first blank page in beautiful cursive.
I keep it on the shelf right next to Margaret Truman's biography about Harry Truman and a 1948 or 1949 copy of Eisenhower's "Crusade in Europe", which I think is also a 1e but I have no idea. The map illustrations in that one are late 40s kino
