Weekly “what are you reading” thread :marseystitch: #29 :marseyreading:

To discuss your weekly readings of books, textbooks and papers.

I started reading :marseyhijab: Vikings by Neil Price early this week

I never :marseyitsover: read any book about them, so far the first :marseywinner: chapter talked about norse paganism and belief system :marseymars: while correcting popular misconceptions about them, the author :marseyaynrand: is a Bong archeologist who teaches in Sweden, so far it looks interesting.

I only read books that neoconshill tells me to (besides ancient G*rman plays) and he didn't tell me to read any books this week so I didn't read any.

Sunday we'll have the final thoughts thread for Blood Meridian and then we'll move into our next pick, Never Let Me Go, knowing Ishiguro's style the book will likely be emotion crushing.

Still reading Borges and A History of Western Philosophy by Bertrand Russel (it is good!)

I wanted something lighter so I'm also reading Don't Fear the Reaper by Stephen Graham Jones, it's a fun slasher book just like it's predecessor, highly recommend SGJ he's a decent horror writer!
