Lelouch discovers that the old Anglican Church deposed after his Father becomes Emperor still lives on in hunted enclaves. Instead of leading a Japanese resistance he decides to become a religious leader of dissident Christians, a New Joshua. Pretty cool

I like it. The Japanese resistance is told from another character but Lelouch's arc seems very interesting. He initially infiltrates the underground Christian group to callously use them for instigating unrest and pursuing revenge. He has a friend Milly Ashford pose as his fiancé at these meetings as a cover who slowly becomes converted to the faith and
actually falls in love with him and wants to be married for real. 
The dissident Christians believe Britannia is a literal second coming of Babylon and see Lelouch, an exiled Royal as a prophetic figure to rescue Britannia from it's ungodly thrall. Slowly he starts to believe himself.
