Best order to read The Holy Bible?

Been meaning to read this one for a while, was wondering if I can read New Testament first, then read Old Testament as a prequel. Would it even make sense or would I need context from the first book?

when i went to church :marseyklennycross: as a kid we never :marseyitsover: covered the old testament. I think :marseymindblown: we covered the story :marseyslime: of gideon once, but that was about it. it's been a while since i read the bible, so take what i say with a grain of salt.
