OP posts a longpost but it basically says "you should read books if you want to write".

Post is fairly new, but 9/10 of top-level comments are :marseyakshually: YOU DONT NEED TO READ TO WRITE WHAT IF SOMEONE CANT AFFORD BOOKS

Maybe their book selection is limited? Could be due to financial reasons? Maybe they are not aware of/familiar with other authors who might have similar plots/genre that could help solve their question? Or maybe, (and I am really going to the extreme here) people are afraid to pick up a book to help them for fear of plagiarism?

the library is free if you're too r-slurred to pirate it :marseyeyeroll:

If you're too poor to afford books, nobody wants to read whatever you're going to write.

Yeah I can never find any of the esoteric tomes and manuscripts I wanna read on there. They also don't have archived copies of Soldier of Fortune Magazine so why bother?
