The counselor I found for us didn't comment on our finances, her face blank. At a certain point, she told us our time was up and ushered us out of the office. Although my husband seemed to enjoy talking to her, I did not make another appointment.

According to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services website, I would get a temporary green card in a year.

Weird way to start the article - with a petty, subjective anecdote that is supposed to motivate the reader to support her strategic decision to pretend to care about her wife until she could divorce her in the most-advantageous fashion. But it sets the tone for a string of random annoyances about her wife's increasingly coomerish (and eventually AGP) behaviors without describing any of the value she brought to the relationship. I'm sure there was a better way to write this article, but the author just did not seem to care about not coming off as sort of a c*nt lmao.

AGP hons are so vile that any abuse of them is laudable. Treat them like a wallet. Get your green card and divorce them. Circle back and put them in prison
