Also, the South is not comparable to Texas, that would be Goias or Mato Grosso do Sul. The Brazilian South is more similar to the Mid-West (soybeans, corn, kraut and slavic descendants). Also people here are quite socially liberal in the cities, Rio Grande do Sul is a famous target of gay jokes, but people here can't stand economic leftism, they're very economically right-wing.

!bookworms, of all the stupid discourse to come out of journ*lism, politics, and academia, "If every single public school library in the country doesn't carry a book, that means it's banned" may be the stupidest. These books are not illegal. You will not be arrested for buying, selling, or possessing them. Book stores, both physical and online, carry them. Heck, you can go to a public library that isn't part of a grade school and check them out, free of charge. You can even give them to your child, if you so desire. But these brain-dead !r-slurs act like it's "literally 1984", a book they have never and will never read, while they complain about the "banning" of other books they have never and will never read. :marsey1984:

Meanwhile, if you asked them if bookstores should be able to carry the original, unabridged versions of books like Revolutionäre Kriegswissenschaft, La Salute è in voi, and their various spiritual successors, they'd say "no" in a heartbeat. Probably bring up some philosophers they have never and will never read to justify it. :marseypopper:
