The Hugo sci fi winners used to be amazing. A sign that it was a book I should read that would likely change my perception of the universe. Now it's just whichever book has more alien lesbians smh

my single favorite sci-fi novel is A Canticle for Leibowitz which is a very funny early Hugo winner about a Catholic monastery in a post-nuclear holocaust world.
For other fun !Catholics sci-fi, both Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis have given papal endorsement to Lord of the World which is a 1907 dystopian novel about the rise of the antichrist and the end of days, complete with planes, weapons of mass destruction and fairly prophetic depictions of modern mass communication technology. It's pretty lit. !bookworms
