After years of trying to avoid ereaders the price and availability of books in leafland finally broke me. Got the kindle basic and I'm going to fill it with pirated legally obtained books.
Gotta say I'm impressed, the screen is super easy on the eyes. What ereaders do you guys use? And where do you get your books?

How tf do you use a Steam Deck? Do you put it sideways? It honestly sounds so uncomfortable.

? I read it horizontally as a two page spread. I hate how e readers are vertical. I like my book as a two page spread. I cant imagine reading comics or manga on one as youd have to physically turn the screen to see two page spreads.

Ebooks don't really make sense as a two page spread, you're only ever reading one page at a time. Yeah it works on the occasional comic picture that spreads across both pages, but how many of those are you seeing? Seems like a lot of wasted space that could be used for bigger text/images imho
Anyway, I'm just surprised at the Deck. It's just such an odd thing to use for reading. The screen's neither that big or high res for text, huge bezels, etc.
