Get a frickin haircut hippie. :marseyhippiecrygenocide:

I watched the first clip and it's empty self-help nonsense. :marseymanysuchcases: Stoicism in general has always struck me as corporate :marseywomanmoment2: material repackaged to be marketed to a male audience but I'll own up to the fact that I've only read excerpts of Seneca when he/it comes up in discussions of St. Paul.

Stoicism good, but self-declared online "stoics" are r-slurs in >90% of cases. I personally like Marcus Aurelius.

I've listened to some discussions surrounding his Epicurean vs Stoic "providence or atoms" lines in the Meditations and it seemed (I'm being a true sophist since I admit I :didntreadlol:) like he repackaged Plato without adding anything to the conversation as a thinker, but I'm sure he would've been someone fun to talk to and I doubt I'll ever contribute anything novel, either.

Christianity owes a great deal to the inheritance Stoics offered vis-a-vis virtue ethics so I probably shouldn't speak ill of them.
