The document that acts as a charter for the creation of the state while also containing a written description of the powers and procedures of the parts of its government? Yeah it's important. We still make updates to it.
Unlike the UK system where they never write anything down, lack a constitution despite larping as a Constitutional Monarchy (guess what !britbongs a Constitutional Monarchy without a constitution is just a monarchy), and rely on convention aka "I dunno we just invented something and have been doing it but it has no legal requirement.
