. It's not like you can be independent in a globalized world. If it weren't for the imports from britain and denmark we would still be eating fermented whale
Xey literally produce shit and only serve as money laundering lands, and tourism. I don't think xey produce sugar or cocoa or coffee or tobaccco anymore (brazil overtook them), so it's a literal bunch of nothingburger islands that would be better off annexed to a country (cuba, dominican republic, barbados, saint lucia, martinique and Guadaloupe, and Turk & Caicos). Some have special jurisdictions where they are able to be """independent'""" but still be owned by other countries, see Cayman islands, Curaçao, Bonaire, St martin (that is owned by two countries), and I thibk that's it. Thwre is Bahamas but idk why xey don't become a US state alrdy (or part of the overseas territories like Puerto Rico, Guam, Hawaii, and all the nothinfburger territories in the pacific)

Well first, Martinique, Guadeloupe and Saint Pierre are part of another country.
Second, who cares what their economy is based on? I don't see how that's relevant to their status as a country.
