Alien dinosaurs with MP-40s wearing Nazi uniforms?
Doesn't this actually happen again on Enterprise? He was really proud of that one.
Also random note, the Hirogen were originally depicted as like 8 feet tall, but when they dropped the mysterious aspect and started showing them in normal angles/lighting, they gave up and made them manlets

I thought this was bullshit just because it's such a bad idea but I looked it up and and you're right.
From the perspective of a guy is just trying to get it done on time on budget, this is the worst thing you could do. You have to redo the lighting. Who are you gonna cast? I got a pretty good knowledge of 1990s character actors and if you wanted extremely tall you had Tony Todd or the bad guy from the X-Files. And every extra has to be that tall too.
It's an incredibly stupid thing for experienced TV writers to do. I don't usually diagnose other people but this screams stimulants. In that era probably cocaine. I'm not saying this lightly, having 8ft aliens on the show is not how sober people run a business.
You have to understand that making a TV show is a real thing, there's a heck of a lot of blue collar labor that goes into it. It's not run off some guy writing something on a napkin at a bar.
