I still don't get wtf happened with exams/quizzes. That makes sense for cheating on homework but did this school just not have any final exams at all? Or did they let her use her phone throughout the whole thing (plus probably granted her extra time bc that kind of translation is slow)? And what about handwriting? I had to literally write, with a pencil and paper, my exams in high school. Do they just not do that anymore?

On one hand, she was obviously cheating. On the other hand, I straight up don't believe that the school had no idea she couldn't read or write.

Rule #1 in education today: if Asians/Mayos do better on something than BIPOCs, that thing is inherently suspect and should be thrown out of the system. In this case, tests and exams.
