... last Saturday my 14 year old came home from a sleepover saying his throat was on fire and he felt deathly ill. Sure enough he tested positive for COVID but no other child from the sleepover has tested positive* yet. My daughter in law and I both tested positive yesterday with pretty much identical symptoms- the worst sore throat ever, high fever, the worst body aches (especially in the arms and legs) we can't get more than 30-40 minutes of sleep at a time and neither has lost smell or taste. Things are a little worse for me as I was hospitalized last February for getting double pneumonia and was intubated on ventilators but fully recovered thank God. This time I am having dizzy spells and immediately short of breath and using my nebulizer and home oxygen tank to supplement hoping and praying I don't have to revisit the hospital again with this strain. My entire family are all fully vaccinated, boostered and had the newest booster in November 22, all current on flu shots and I even have my pneumonia vaccine as well. We still wear masks when out, dine at home only, Instacart any groceries and I work from home. Everyone stay safe and vigilant!
