2019 was the twilight of Reddit. There was still lots of diverse banter to be had, but these days the worthless echo-chamber truly disgusts me.
I wouldn't care so much if I hadn't been such a True Believer in Reddit during its early years, and spent countless hours helping to build the site, not least of all being a janny of local subreddits like /r/Halifax and /r/NovaScotia, as well as curating several niche subs into being pretty successful community spaces.
I truly weep when I see the shithole it has become, because when I first found Reddit I was like: "THIS is what the internet is supposed to be!" 😭
