So back in the mid to late 80s heyday of the amiga it had really good sound hardware but it was low on storage/disk soace. some German made a program called soundtracker that was basically an extremely technical but efficient way to make music specifically for amiga games. This being amiga the software was of course pirated and then reverse endgineered by pirates to add enhancements to the production of it and soon software pirates and scene kids began producing electronic music with these “-trackers” because it was free and easy and produce high quality results with good support for samples and I think two envelopes and two lfos for fx and the like. The image in all these videos is the tracker interface itself. All the music made for the demoscene is done using trackers as well and bc of the roots in software piracy it’s part of the multimedia idea of making the coolest stuff while using the smallest amount of space so you can put a neat small intro in front of your pirated game of the week or whatever.

So all of this is before pcs had sound cards that were affordable so amiga had 10 years on high quality 16 bit sound and amateur musicians. It’s still a relatively big scene today with the art through limitations aspect and hundreds of thousands of songs are all over the internet and easy to get bc most are sub-250kb.

Also because a lot of these were made in the late 80s to late 90s you’ll hear a lot of acid house, early dnb, jungle, etc that was inspired by the early dance scene. (That’s why the first jester track in this sounds so much like madchester/that one happy mondays remix There’s some awesome use of Korg m1 samples around too for that neat acid piano sound)

I wish I had dc for pins cuz more need to see this

That's nice sweaty. Why don't you have a seat in the time out corner with Pizzashill until you calm down, then you can have your Capri Sun.

Frankly, your paladin said that he was going to commit genocide. That's a lot. Especially coupled with how you have described orcs as being tribal and shamanistic and humans as being settlers, it gets into colonialist vibes really fast. Indigenous Peoples' Day was Monday in the US, so depending on the bard player's demographics, things could be particularly raw.
