To be fair letting the Euros have a monopoly on planes is probably not the best idea.

At least Airbus delivers quality planes and doesn't have their doors just fall off mid-flight.

No they dont. Their shit falls off too. Just not as in the news as much as Boeing.

A piece of engine cover falling off close to the ground is not in the same category as a door falling off mid flight.

Yeah youre right theyre not in the same category, the engine cover falling off is much worse as it jeopardizes the entire plane.
Either way it shows Airbus has the same quality issues as Boeing.

You think a literal door falling off doesn't jeoperdize the entire plane?
There is a big difference in having QC issues where sometimes the cover falls off and where a literal door falls off depressurising the cabin instantly.

Youre the one trying to argue Airbus has good quality when parts of its engines fall off. Thats not good quality.

It'll get there if it can't renew enough contracts in the next few years.

The way the airliner business works, you have to order planes years in advance of them actually getting built. IIRC Boeing has a backlog of 1000 and Airbus has 5000. So no matter how bad they're fricking everything up right now, it'll be years before there's consequences.

There's those Russian guys who were up on Mir when the Soviet Union fell apart so they were stuck there for like a year. Those were the days.

Being stuck on a decrepit Soviet space station, watching your country break apart only to return to Earth wearing the flag and carrying the passport of a country that doesn't exist anymore is the rarest type of feel
