I was aware of his story before this particular vid came out. What's always puzzled me about it, is why he chose to take coordinates with his phone rather than grab the bear spray or the gun. IIRC, it was during the little break he had between the 1st and 2nd attack.
Can't judge though. That's a bad situation and he really shouldn't have survived it. Them Leaf fellers are tough.
