as a cheapass, i think it's pretty neat. i disassemble broken stuff and repurpose parts all the time.
but i was never able to figure when i'd need wheels on a generator. when i need power in the middle of nowhere, i just strap the portable generator into the bed of the 4WD "bakkie" and keep it there. and everyone who wants a generator for a house should wire it with a transfer switch & slap on a chimney pipe so it can stay in one place.

Because there's no power in this Uber rural location, and the generator is heavy and sometimes we need the drill exactly at a specific meters distance

yeah, see, for me that's a generator in the back of the truck with an extension cord so i don't need to move it around
