as a cheapass, i think it's pretty neat. i disassemble broken stuff and repurpose parts all the time.

but i was never able to figure when i'd need wheels on a generator. when i need power in the middle of nowhere, i just strap the portable generator into the bed of the 4WD "bakkie" and keep it there. and everyone who wants a generator for a house should wire it with a transfer switch & slap on a chimney pipe so it can stay in one place. :marseyhmm:
