Not fancy but not a bad bike either, I was thinking of buying this for my gf so she could come along on some rides. You can always upgrade it as you wear down the parts, it's not super difficult to maintain.
The Marlin is an awesome frameset, and I feel very safe and comfortable on it, but I wish I'd gotten the 7 or 8 version, to get better components than the 6.
