Who forced this. This is an absolutely ridiculous amount of debt for an UG degree and someone should have stepped up to be the adult in the room and said no. It should have been him.

Can he pay? If there weren't actually illegal threats involved, he wasn't forced.

OP explained they threatened their family that they would run away from home if they didn't financially support their college education further.

I gave them an ultimatum: I run away or they send me back to college. It was a hard time for my family but to avoid me being in dangerous situations to get where I wanted they reluctantly agreed to let me do this with the agreement I would pay my dad back for being my cosigner and only support in going to FU
