Prole pissed when someone suggests not ordering DoorDash every day

Why do people here .. ?

You show people a way they can save a lot of money eating out (apps, save 50% or more)

So they lecture you that instead of eating out you should spend hours shopping and making everything from scratch like you're some kind of a farm family Like, some of us don't like to eat out or do it for convenience?

Or, why do people eat out when poor people can't afford it? How about this: you might be too poor but some of us like to if that's okay with you!!

They do that to steal your data! Like, using credit cards or loyalty retail cards or when they have your email or phone number, They don't also get your data?

There's being actually poor, and being poor because you're an r-slur who spends all your money on getting goyslop delivered.

IME people who continuously stay living paycheck to paycheck tier poor either have poor impulse control and instantly spend all the money they have on shit they don't need, or people who desperately want to live above their means and showcase higher status.

Both kinda similar tbh, key thing is neither has the foresight to save, invest, or simply invest in themselves.

Yeah, you can be paycheck to paycheck at any level of income if you're dumb enough. Most of the time if they get a raise or a new job they just ratchet up their spending to match.

I have both those as friends.

One person says he can't save $100 but will buy the weirdest things (think exotic pets) on a whim. My other currently has little to no savings but is saving for a sports car.

Yeah you learn these things from personal anecdotes really

Thing is many are perfectly capable of making reasonable concessions, like not eating out outside special occasions, buying cars used etc., but there is a specific thing they can't control their spending on, like hoarding so many clothes they no longer even have space for them, or going through mountains of addictive shit like booze and smokes.

Yeah you learn that people you thought were "rich" were actually taking on loads and loads of debt for appearances.

I will repeat myself, but my wife's friend who just took a cross-country vacation. Couldn't afford round-trip airfare, so they rented a Wrangler one-way and flew back.

Didn't book any hotels early or use mobile booking apps, paid nightly rack rate at the counter.

She returned home with $12 to her name.

She is 47 years old.

Her boyfriend took her car in to get the brakes done but the estimate was too high, so he got the windows tinted.

I assume all employed poors are like her.

Also remember a lady parking like an idiot behind me at the pump, went inside to prepay $5, yelling at her kid that she doesn't have $1 to buy him a snack. Just making a huge scene like a true poor.

And speaking of poors, nothing says #winning quite like blasting rap music out your Buick Rendesvous, smoking a cigar, while pumping $10 worth of fuel.

Literally, dude began pumping at 16:49:28, sat in the car, pulled the nozzle back out at 16:50:14. That's about 30 seconds of actual dispensing

Thatsort of lifestyle is encouraged and endorsed by modern society its pretty disappointing. Most of it is poor learned behavior and ignorance of what could be taught in an hour

Not really tbh. It's not like these people don't understand they're being wasteful with money, it's more akin to cope or in some cases outright addiction.

Yeah and addiction is a learned behavior. Theyre only ignorant of basic finance which takes 30 mins and then youre at fault for your poor decisions
